Hey there!
I’m Colleen 👋
I've never fit neatly into one box.
Born and raised down the street from Pearl Harbor, my cultural background as a mixed-race Okinawan American constantly informs my worldview.
Over the past years, I’ve worked with a variety of brands and organizations in start-up tech, fashion, retail, non-profits, social justice, music, and food/beverage fields. Prior to that, I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in Design and a minor in Asian and Pacific American studies.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about critical mixed-race studies, Asian and Pacific American studies, dance, trashy pop, Hot Topic bops, and expanding our understanding of culture and identity.
Currently, I’m working with independent brands as I look for a UX design position with a medium-sized team.
